Section A - Creating a user account

To register for an event, you need to create a user account via the online events registration site. The following instructions outline how to create a user account.

  1. Access the online events registration site – www.events-slc.co.uk.
  2. Click the ‘Log In’ tab within the green banner at the top of the page.
  3. Follow the ‘REGISTER HERE!’ link. 
  4. Complete all fields within the ‘Register an Account’ section. Please do not use abbreviations when entering your institution details. 
  5. Check the box confirming you have read and understood the event terms and conditions. 
  6. Click the ‘Register’ button. 
  7. Ensure your spam filters allow events@events-slc.co.uk as a safe email address. 

Section B - Logging in to your user account

  1. Access the online events registration site- www.events-slc.co.uk.
  2. Click the ‘Log In’ tab within the green banner at the top of the page.
  3. Enter your registered username and password. 
  4. Click the ‘Log In’ button.

Section C - Registering for an event

  1. Access the online events registration site – www.events-slc.co.uk.
  2. Log in to your user account. (See steps in Section B – Logging in to your user account.) 
  3. Go to the home page- click on the home button within the green banner at the top of the page. 
  4. Locate the relevant event section on the homepage and follow the appropriate link to access the registration form.
  5. Complete all relevant fields- your personal and contact details will be pre populated. 
  6. Click the ‘Submit’ button.
  7. Once successfully registered you shall receive a confirmation message on screen, followed by a confirmation email. You can access a summary of your event registration information in the ‘My Account’ section.

Section D - Registering more than one delegate for an event

  1. Follow the steps for registering your chosen event. (Section C – Registering for an event)
  2. When you receive the confirmation message on screen, follow the ‘Please click here to register another delegate from your organisation’ link. This link will take you to the event registration form. 
  3. Enter the registration details for the additional delegate you wish to register. 
  4. Please take note of the email entered into the registration form for each delegate, as the email within the event registration form will be used to issue the confirmation email and any further email updates. 
  5. This process can be repeated as many times as required, just click the ‘Please click here to register another delegate from your organisation’ link will show in each on screen confirmation. 
  6. Please note that the event booking information will only show within the user account used to complete the registration process. I.e. Delegate 1 registers themselves and Delegate 2 whilst logged into their account. Both event bookings will only show within Delegate 1’s account information. 

Section E - Resetting your forgotten log in details

If you have forgotten your log in details you can re set these through the events registration site.

  1. Access the online events registration site- www.events-slc.co.uk
  2. Click the ‘Log In’ tab within the green banner at the top of the page. 
  3. Scroll towards the bottom of this page to the ‘Forgot Your Username or Password’ section.
  4. Use the provided box to enter the email address associated with your user account. 
  5. Click the ‘Reset and Email Password’ button. You will be sent a ‘Forgot Password’ email, which will contain your username and a link to reset your password. 
  6. Follow instructions as per the ‘Forgot Password’ email. 

Section F - Making Changes to Your Account information

To make changes to your account information such as your personal registration details, account email address or password, please follow the steps below:

  1. Access the events online registration site (www.events-slc.co.uk) and log in to your user account. 
  2. Click the ‘My Account’ tab within the green banner at the top of the page. 
  3. Scroll to required section; either ‘Update Registration Details’, ‘Update Account Email Address’ or ‘Change Password’.
  4. Complete the appropriate sections with the information you wish to be changed. 
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.

Section G - FAQs

Is my Events User Account the same as my other Student Loans Company (SLC) log in details?

No – your events user account is not linked to any other SLC log in, or portal log in. If not done so already, you will have to create a user account in order to register for an event.

After several attempts, I am not receiving the email required to reset my log in details?

Some institution or organisation firewalls will identify the ‘Forgot Password’ email as SPAM and therefore block this email from reaching your inbox. Please ensure that your spam filters allow events@events-slc.co.uk as a safe email address. Also, please check your account information to ensure we have the correct email address on record.

Can I register for more than one account?

Only one account can be registered per email address.

Can I register for an event via telephone?

No, we cannot accept any bookings via telephone, email or fax. All event bookings must be made via the online events registration site.

I have successfully registered for an event; however I have not received the confirmation email as promised?

Some institution or organisation firewalls will identify the confirmation email as SPAM and block this from getting through. Please ensure that your spam filters allow events@events-slc.co.uk as a safe email address. Also, please check your account information to ensure we have the correct email address on record. If blocked, the automated registration confirmation email cannot be resent. However, from the ‘My Account’ section you can access information on the events you have successfully registered for.

Where can I access your Terms and Conditions?

You can access our terms and conditions at any time via the ‘My Account’ section when logged in to the events registration site. Alternatively, please contact the events team (events@slc.co.uk) to request a copy of the terms and conditions.
